Summer Children's Ministry Volunteers Needed
Hello Church Family,
I am so grateful for the men and women who have ministered to our children over the past school year. We really have a talented and dedicated group of volunteers who serve faithfully each Sunday, but during the summer we give our Children's Ministry volunteers a well-deserved break. That means we look to the rest of you to volunteer a Sunday or two in Children's Ministry during the summer months. We do simplify the offerings in the summer, but that still means we have 60 slots to fill! So we really do need everyone to sign up who is able to help. There are sign-up sheets in the lobby, as well as the required volunteer applications. (If you are a brand new volunteer for Children's Ministry, please fill out the blue application form). An annual background check is also required, and our office administrator, Dawn Raney, will contact you via email when your volunteer application is submitted.

During the summer, our younger children (toddlers through 5-year-olds) will go outside to play - weather permitting. They will have a snack, a volunteer will read them a Bible story from a children's Bible, and no preparation is needed. For our older children, (6-year-olds through 9-year-olds), there will be a lesson and the children will also create a Lego structure related to the lesson. (Please note that the lesson will be sent out early in the week so you can read through it ahead of time). The older kids, (ages 10 and up), will be with us in the service for the summer.
This is a great opportunity for the church to come together as a body. It's also a wonderful opportunity to get to know the younger members of our intergenerational community.
